Caulfield Grammar Learning Project wins the James D. MacConnell Award in Atlanta

The Caulfield Grammar Learning Project has won the most prestigious internatonal award for excellence in facility planning: the Association for Learning Environments James D. MacConnell Award.
Designed by Hayball in consultation with the Learning Environments Applied Research Network (LEaRN), the Caulfield Grammar Learning Project won the honour at the Association for Learning Environments' LearningScapes conference in Atlanta on the weekend.

The James D. MacConnell Award is given to a project that exemplifies the organisation's belief that great schools begin with communication and planning. School facilities recognised in this award program might embody great architecture but their successful components and characteristics are founded in an interactive process that engages multiple stakeholders to create an educational environment that holds purpose and distinction within a community.
The Learning Project faced stiff competition from fellow finalists, Seattle's Hazel Wolf: E-STEM K-8 School and Virginia's Carter G. Woodson Education Complex. You can view all the finalists' submittals here.

In 2016, the Caufield Grammar Learning Project shone at Learning Environments Australasia's Awards, taking out the categories of Education Innovation and Overall Winner.
