2025 – A Year of Big Moments, Big Ideas….and an even Bigger Community

If 2025 had a theme, it would be:
"WOW! Did we really do all that?"
Because of YOU - our members, volunteers, leaders, sponsors, supporters, and the occasional architect dressed head to toe in black (IYKYK)....Learning Environments Australasia has just wrapped one of our biggest and most energising years yet.
Alongside our 2025 wrap up video (yes, we know you came here for the photos and hype reel), we wanted to take a moment to reflect, celebrate, and say a heartfelt thank you. This year saw rooms filled, tours booked out, conferences waitlisted, and events selling out faster than free pastries at a morning workshop.
From our sold out 2025 Odyssey Regional Conference in Brisbane | Meanjin, our 2025 RDO EngagED in Sydney | Gadigal Country, to Chapter events throughout our Region, to thought provoking conversations in boardrooms, classrooms, and community hubs - your participation is what turns events into experiences.
But beyond attendance numbers and sold out events, what really defined 2025 was the depth of connection. Our 2025 Annual Report said it best: "LEA’s achievements are only possible because of the extraordinary people behind them. And we mean extraordinary".
- Our members + community continued to show up, contribute, question, share, and inspire.
- Our Regional Council, Chapter Committees, subcommittees, and dedicated volunteers kept the heartbeat of LEA strong, and somehow survived our endless meetings, emails, and all the ‘just one more’ requests!"
- Our staff held everything together with grace, humour, and superpowers that we’re still convinced aren’t entirely human.
- Our Executive Team steered the ship with unwavering commitment.....and lots of coffee
YOU have all helped bring educators and designers together to genuinely shape the future of learning environments. And you did it with passion, curiosity, and the occasional frantic hunt for a misplaced lanyard.
As you watch the 2025 wrap up video, we hope it sparks a smile, a laugh, or a “Hey, that’s me in the background!” moment. It’s more than a highlight reel - it’s a tribute to a community that keeps raising the bar, pushing boundaries, and proving that learning spaces are so much more than bricks and mortar.
While our office may have taken a well earned break over the holiday period, the LEA spirit never clocks off. Over the festive season, you can continue to register online for #2026Unleash, prep your 2026 LEAD Award submissions, and enrol in our 2026 MicroCerts....because why not mix sun, sand, and sector shaping professional growth?
