2026 Chapter Awards – Celebrate Excellence in Learning Environments

Entries for the 2026 Learning Environments Australasia (LEA) Chapter Awards open on Monday 6 July, providing an opportunity to celebrate outstanding learning environments that are transforming education across our Australasian community.
The Chapter Awards recognise excellence in the planning, design and delivery of innovative learning environments, showcasing projects that make a meaningful difference for learners, educators and their communities. Participating Chapters in this year's program include:
- Aotearoa New Zealand
- Queensland
- South Australia + Northern Territory
- Tasmania + Victoria
- Western Australia.
If you previously entered the Learning Environments Australasia Design (LEAD) Awards and were unsuccessful in receiving a commendation or award, we strongly encourage you to submit your project into the Chapter Awards. Success at the LEAD Awards does not determine success at Chapter level, and many exceptional projects deserve recognition within their local community.
KEY DATES
- Entries open: Monday 6 July 2026
- Entries close: Friday 21 August 2026
- Entry payment due: Friday 21 August 2026
- Award submission due: Friday 28 August 2026
Chapter Award presentation events will be held by each participating Chapter during October and November 2026 (dates to be confirmed by each Chapter).
Please note that all entrants must be current LEA members to be eligible. We encourage eligible members to showcase their projects and help celebrate the inspiring work shaping learning environments across Australasia.
