Ann Gorey

Ann Gorey played a pivotal role in the founding of CEFPI in Australia. Through organising the LETA conferences in Adelaide from 1994 through to 2000 and her introducing of key people into CEFPI who later formed the foundations of CEFPI, Ann paved the way for the establishment and growth of CEFPI in Australia.

Ann continued to support CEFPI through assuming a number of challenging roles at the international, regional and Chapter levels, mostly at her personal sacrifice in terms of time and expense. She especially contributed to networking and communication within CEFPI, both informally with her efforts in maintaining contacts and strategic linkages and also in the advancement of communication through the first newsletters for the Region.

Ann also contributed to the wider education field and created links to CEFPI with international bodies such as the OECD.

This citation honours the significant contribution of the recipient to CEFPI Australasia.
