Project Overview
The aim of this project was to revitalize an existing 1923 heritage listed school building into a contemporary teaching and learning facility for senior students. The original internal layout of the Ward Building was out dated and no longer served the purpose for modern day teaching & learning. The outcome of this refurbishment has facilitated an increase in general learning areas with flexible spaces suitable for Year 11 and 12 senior school students. This project has revitalised this original school building and ensured its use well into the future.
Client’s feedback: “… the Architects have designed a very workable refurbishment with modern elements which also fit in with the heritage of the building. All feedback from teachers, students and especially our old boys with many fond memories has been very positive and in the few months it has been open many schools have also been to view.”
