Thinking About Learning Vol 1 – 2013 is a celebration of the unique diversity of Western Australian educational projects completed in recent years. The project explores the link between educational theory and its translation into built form by highlighting current emerging trends, thoughts and ideas about learning space design.
Thinking About Learning Vol 1 – 2013 celebrates the unique diversity of educational projects in Western Australia whilst providing a robust research base to study emerging trends, thoughts and ideas about learning and the spaces where it may occur. Learning theories are challenged through both real-life examples and user feedback. Establishing a dual analysis process for investigating how theories work in practice highlights the intended and non-intended consequences of such approaches.
Over time, new volumes of Thinking About Learning will capture snapshots of the trends, thoughts and ideas about learning spaces, building a thorough record of changing views and design. This process of continual analysis will hopefully also contribute to healthy debate and discussion that can feedback into the design process, influencing future built projects.
