CEFPI Singapore’s – Talk, Wine and Cheese Nite – a great success!
09 Oct 2014
The CEFPI-Singapore community have embraced the year's first TALK, WINE & CHEESE NITE! More than 30 guests packed into MKPL's office at 7:00pm on Monday, 29 September 2014 to partake in a good selection of both red & white wines and soft & hard cheeses.
Our speaker for the evening was Mr Peter Kenny, CEO of Reach Education Organization - a CEFPI award-winning organisation based in Hong Kong. Peter's talk highlighted the wonderful features of Branksome Hall Asia, Jeju Global Education City, Korea (joint winner of the CEFPI Australasia Award; Category 1: New Construction : Entire New School) and focused on:
- School establishment and why the fluffy and soft matters
- Schools are not one fit for all
- Designing better inclusive schools
The talk was followed by the moderator's rapid-fire '7 questions in 7 minutes' and general Q&A; a light grilling of Peter on education topics such as client expectations, pedagogical challenges, and technological advancements. All present left with a good taste in their mouths, both from the wine & cheese, and Peter's totally engrossing insights in to development of educational facilities.
