Did you know that more than six million Australians volunteer through organisations every year? Their generosity weaves the social fabric of our nation, enriching lives and strengthening communities.

At LEA, that spirit shines through with 150+ incredible volunteers who power everything we do - from our Executive Team and Council to every Chapter Committee and Sub‑Committee across ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC, WA, SA, TAS, New Zealand and our NT affiliate. Together you:

• Advocate for innovative, equitable learning spaces - from early learning centres to universities - throughout Australasia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
• Curate conferences and CPD events that bring 600+ delegates and a global network of teachers, educators, architects, planners and designers together each year.
• Drive research projects such as The Mayfield Project, pushing the boundaries of how learning environments can inspire every student.
• Champion our prestigious LEAD Awards, celebrating excellence in design and inclusion.

All of this is achieved by volunteers (with the support of just four dedicated staff). Your time, expertise and unwavering passion are the very backbone of LEA. You are the reason our not for profit community of 950+ members continues to grow and make a genuine difference.
