Close of LE Singapore Chapter

Following the Singapore Annual General Meeting in October 2020, no nominations were received for committee roles and the group elected to disband the local Chapter and Association. As valued contributors to Learning Environments Australasia, this is disappointing news for the entire LEA community.

Going forward all current Singapore Chapter members will receive communication from the Western Australia chapter and the region and new members will choose from AUS membership categories.

The Executive would like to acknowledge the efforts made by committees past and present, particularly Mrs Phan Pit Li the inaugural President of the Chapter in 2013, Lauren Cameron recent Chapter Chair, and Darren Benger, Secretary.  The Australasia region held two very successful international conferences in Singapore, in 2007 'The Future of Learning & it's Impact on Design' and more recently, the 2017 Experience Asia. Both events were invaluable in broadening our mindsets across different cultural settings and will be fondly remembered as a result.

LEA will endeavour to re-engage with our regional partners once the impact of the pandemic has subsided, and look forward to future opportunities in South East Asia.
