Commending Excellence in Educational Design Highlights from the 2023 NSW/ACT Chapter Awards
The prestigious 2023 New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory took place on Wednesday 22 November 2023, at the offices of our Chapter Sponsor Interface in Surry Hills. The recognition bestowed upon our Awards is a tribute to remarkable educational environments that embody inventive architectural principles harmonized with educational ideologies. The submissions for this year's accolades unveiled a broad spectrum of projects, encompassing various financial scopes, surroundings, and architectural types.
The occasion was marked by jubilation and acknowledgment, as the LEA community congregated to commend extraordinary accomplishments in educational spaces. This gathering also served as a platform to revel in cutting-edge and modern design, expressing admiration for participants across all categories.
In the current year, we marked the commemoration of 14 award submissions, with our panel of Jurors expressing profound admiration for the expansive scope and profound nature of all the projects submitted for consideration in the awards. The diversity presented by each project further captivated the attention of our esteemed panel.
It is noteworthy to emphasise that, in the realm of learning environment design and architectural awards, the ultimate victors are undeniably the educational facilities themselves. Beyond that, the true beneficiaries encompass a broad spectrum, including students, learners, teachers and the educational communities to which they belong. The far-reaching impact of these awards extends well beyond individual recognition, fostering an environment conducive to enriched educational experiences and community growth.
Congratulations to all of our award winners and commendations! We look forward to your submissions in the 2024 Learning Environments Australasia Design (LEAD) Awards.
