Favourite Spaces in WA Learning Environments
04 Aug 2011
Expressions of Interest are sought from Architects of their willingness to approach schools that they have been involved with and assist the school to initiate a short program to discover what spaces are students’ favourite.
The result of these programs will be a submission of favourite spaces in learning environments - A4 size in any format! This could be a drawing, a photograph, a word, an object or any other media. Something that represents students’ favourite spaces.
By encouraging passionate responses, we learn about successful spaces in schools and learning environments. We will build up a collection of ‘favourite spaces’ in learning environments from Designers, Educators and Students and all those involved in learning environments and exhibit them. CEFPI will then collate this exhibition into a format that we can present to those that co-ordinate the construction of learning environments that is a true representation of our members’ favourite spaces.......
Aim
"To encourage passionate discussion and debate among school staff, teachers, students, architects and designers about successful teaching and learning spaces in schools and challenge the concept of classroom learning. "
CEFPI would like to call all Architects that have been involved with the design and delivery of schools to help facilitate this program which will result in a presentation of ideas to the Department of Education.
