Mayfield Project Update for 2014
09 Sep 2013
Four state based teams numbering about 10 per team were formed in May 2013 for the CEFPI Mayfield Project 2014.
The objective for the multidisciplinary teams of educators and the designers of space and furniture is to collaboratively research, investigate, evaluate and problem solve.
This will occur with a focus on the themes and sub themes associated with the forthcoming annual CEFPI Australasian Region conference to be held in Adelaide on 25-28 May 2014.
The WA team facilitated by Dani Martin is exploring the theme 'Everything is Learning' in reference to the 'Village of Learning' and the 'Neighbourhood of Learning'.
The SA team facilitated by Peter Moeck are working with the theme 'Relationships' in reference to 'Spatial Literacy' titled 'Adaptable, Flexible and Collaborative'.
The VIC/NZ team facilitated by Ben Cleveland are also exploring the theme 'Everything is Learning' in reference to the 'Village of Learning' and the 'City of Learning'.
The NSW team facilitated by Felicity Lewis are working with the theme 'Relationships' in reference to 'Morphing the Education Brief into facilities'.
The teams are well underway with the research and investigation phases. An update of progress will be presented at the CEFPI November Event on Friday 15 November 2013 in Sydney.
Each team will present the journey of their endeavour, findings and recommendations to the annual conference audience next year.
