Members-only “Post Boom!” Workshop Publication coming soon

Since the WA Chapter’s Post Boom workshop in May, the Post Boom committee have been preparing a digital publication capturing the processes of the symposium/workshop and the ideas arising.

This exciting publication is currently being finalised and will be circulated to all Learning Environments Australasia members in October 2017.

‘Post-Boom’ is a bi-annual symposium and workshop event held in 2016 and 2017, which explored how education focus and delivery could respond to the end of the mining boom in Western Australia and the shift to an alternative economy.

The 2016 Symposium was held in May 2016, with speakers including key members of the Western Australian education sector. The 2017 Workshop held in May 2017 drew upon the questions and challenges posed by symposium speakers about education in post-boom WA, and set out to encourage discussion amongst small groups to develop alternative ideas and approaches to conventional ATAR subject-based learning.
