Opening soon: Regional Day Out registrations
26 Sep 2018
Explore best practice and future trends in inner urban learning at the 6th Regional Day Out. Registrations open 25 September.
Join us in Melbourne on Friday November 16 to explore the ‘rise and rise’ of Inner Urban Learning Environments.
In light of vertical schools, higher education and corporate learning settings gaining prominence in inner urban areas, what strategies can best support learning in Australia’s largest cities and regional towns?
And with rapid urban intensification placing pressure on educational facility provision, what knowledge can be gained from recent initiatives, including recently built learning environments in inner Melbourne?
- Keynote address by Alistair Leighton, Director, Brilliant Cities, AECOM
- Q&A with a panel of leading inner urban education leaders
- Selected tours of landmark educational facilities including 2017 LEA Regional Award winner, Arts West at The University of Melbourne
- Tour and evening drinks at South Melbourne Primary School, the first vertical school developed by the State of Victoria
The day begins at 9am at the Melbourne Arts Centre Pavilion. Afternoon site tours will depart to all corners of the city, before converging on South Melbourne Primary School for a tour and networking drinks until 5.30pm.
LEA members are encouraged to attend the Annual General Meeting at 5.30pm.
Members $240 + GST, non-members $295 + GST, students $195 + GST (limited availability).
All registrations include 2 site tours, brunch, snacks and networking drinks.
Registrations open Tuesday 25th September. Stay tuned for details!
