19 Oct 2017
Don't miss the chance to investigate this collaborative design journey in Brisbane on November 10.
Workshop & Tour #6: Designing for the Transdisciplinary Future of Creative Practice - Creative Industries Precinct, QUT.
Stage 2 of the Creative Industries Precinct is a world leading facility dedicated to the creative practices of music, dance, drama, and visual arts.
Designed by Richard Kirk Architects and Hassell, it serves as a teaching facility, a research hub and as a professional presentation venue. QUT’s Lecturer in Creative Industries, Greg Jenkins, says it’s a building that “needs no user manual” and allows students to create the culture.
The workshop and tour will highlight how the design elements of transparency, interdisciplinarity and connectivity informed the construction, commissioning and use of the facility’s studio spaces.
