The Mayfield Project

The 2023 Mayfielders have been busily working away in preparation for next week’s re:Activate - generating a city of learning conference where they will be presenting the culmination of their last few month’s of work. Following on from their initial in-person workshop, the group of 21 have been deep-diving into their topic of Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and how to design not just spaces but also how to design learning to allow for difference and shared understandings.

Following their research period, the group identified the most important element for impactful, beneficial, empowering learning environments is authentic engagement. They are preparing a set of helpful resources to share with attendees of our Regional Conference, and later with others, on how you can institute authentic engagement with colleagues, clients, stakeholders, students and community members and create better learning environments together.
