Unlock Your Potential – 2026 MicroCerts in Learning Design + Teaching
05 Dec 2025
LEA is excited to announce two professional learning opportunities for 2026, delivered in partnership with the University of Melbourne.
Following a sell out MicroCert offering in 2025, these online programs are designed for educators, school leaders, architects, designers, consultants, and other professionals engaged with contemporary learning environments.
Each MicroCert is limited to just 30 participants, ensuring a personalised and high-quality learning experience.
MicroCert 1 - Designing Environments for Modern Learning
The first MicroCert, Designing Environments for Modern Learning, commences on 9 February 2026. This eight week program explores how the design of learning environments, spatial layout, furniture, technology, and pedagogical alignment, can influence teaching, engagement, and student outcomes.
Participants will examine real case studies and evidence informed design principles, culminating in the development of a design concept that supports learner needs and contemporary pedagogical goals.
The program is led by experts from the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne and provides strategies for leading change in schools. Registrations close on 26 February 2026.
MicroCert 2 - Teaching in Innovative Learning Environments
The second MicroCert, Teaching in Innovative Learning Environments, begins on 4 May 2026. This program focuses on effective teaching practices within flexible, technology enhanced, and pedagogically innovative settings.
Participants will explore global trends in learning environments, identify opportunities and challenges in diverse contexts, and develop actionable plans to implement student centred approaches in their own practice.
This MicroCert is suitable for both those who have completed previous MicroCerts and new participants, with no prerequisites required. Registrations close on 20 April 2026.
Both programs are delivered entirely online, with optional in-person components, and provide evidence of achievement against AITSL standards. Places are limited, and early registration is recommended to secure your spot in these transformative professional learning experiences.
