WA parents and teachers explore new learning approaches with “Most Likely To Succeed”

On a rain soaked evening of the 9th August 2017, over 30 people braved the elements to attend the screening of the feature documentary, Most Likely To Succeed, at Seton Catholic College, Samson.
The film has been hailed as the one of the best edu-documentaries ever produced.
Guests were welcomed by the College Principal, Joseph Hoyne and the film was introduced by WA Chapter Chair, Dani Martin. Following the screening, Joseph led an informal discussion on the concepts presented in the film and asked attendees for their impressions from the film.
A number of the audience felt the film was an inspiration and provided a challenge for schools and teachers to take up. The College’s Deputy Principal of curriculum, Don Parnell, also took the opportunity to explain to the attending parents some of the “project based learning” initiatives the school were implementing in their lower school subjects.
All in all, everyone felt the screening was highly relevant and supported the concepts presented, with many parents feeling a little more informed on the possibilities of project based learning.
