Call for Abstracts Now Open – 2026 UNLEASH

Learning Environments Australasia (LEA) is delighted to announce that abstract submissions are now open for our 24th Annual Regional Conference – UNLEASH: Living. Learning. Leading., hosted by the WA Chapter in Perth | Boorloo from 13–15 May 2026.

This three-day conference will bring together more than 500 delegates, celebrating the diverse voices, spaces, and ideas that are shaping the future of learning environments.

Why Present at UNLEASH?

We are seeking presenters who can inspire, challenge, and engage delegates with stories, insights, and innovations that align with the conference theme and narratives. Whether you are:

• a teacher trialling new pedagogies,
• a school leader reimagining culture,
• an architect or designer shaping the built environment, or
• a researcher offering fresh perspectives,

this is your chance to share your work and contribute to a program that is connected, creative, and courageous.

Presentation Formats

Presentations will be delivered in 50-minute concurrent sessions (including Q&A) and can take one of three participatory formats:

• Engage – discussion-driven sessions framed by provocation
• Experiment – hands-on sessions encouraging playful discovery
• Reflect – idea-sharing sessions that invite deeper reflection

Conference Narratives

Submissions may align with one or more of the following narratives, though fresh and innovative perspectives are also encouraged:

• Indigenous Learning: 7 Generations Thinking
• Y(o)ur Learning Everyday
• Intersectional, Multicultural, Transformational Learning
• Hyper-Global – Third Space Learning

• Abstract submissions close: Sunday, 2 November 2025, 11:55pm (AEST)
• Notification of outcome: Week commencing Monday, 17 November 2025
