2026 Annual General Meeting – Member Notice
17 Sep 2026
Learning Environments Australasia members are invited to take part in our 2026 Annual General Meeting No. 18, an important opportunity to come together, reflect on the year, hear from LEA leadership and help shape the organisation for the years ahead.
The AGM will provide members with updates on LEA’s activities, international engagement and our financial position, with reports from the Chair, International Director and Treasurer. All LEA members are entitled to attend the Annual General Meeting.
A key part of this year’s AGM will be the appointment of two Executive roles - Chair Elect and International Director. Online voting for these positions will take place ahead of the AGM, giving all members the opportunity to have their say on LEA’s leadership for the coming term.
The AGM will also be an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the people who contribute so much to the LEA community, with the announcement of Life Membership and Chapter Honours recipients for 2026.
All members will receive the official notice of our Annual General Meeting No.18 in October 2026 via email.
GENERAL BUSINESS
LEA Members wishing to raise an item of general business for inclusion on the AGM agenda are invited to contact the LEA team by 4pm (AEDST/VIC time), Thursday 5 November 2026.
VOTING
This year, we’re doing things a little differently, with voting for Executive roles taking place online only. There will be no in-person voting at the AGM.
This new system will ensure every LEA member has the opportunity to have their say, wherever they are, and casting your vote will take less than 60 seconds. All LEA members are entitled to vote for all open positions.
Online voting for the Chair Elect and International Director positions will open on Tuesday 27 October 2026 and close at 4:00pm AEDT (VIC time) on Thursday 5 November 2026. To make sure your vote counts make sure you have voted within the specified time period. Late votes will not be accepted.
