Are you interested in issues of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) and wondering what we really need to support a JEDI approach to design? Do you want to discover more about learning environments that generate positive outcomes for all - learners, teachers, leaders and whanau (families and community)?

Then the Mayfield Project may be for you.

The Mayfield Project is Learning Environment Australasia’s biennial activity-based collaboration program that brings together early career architects, planners, teachers, education administrators and consultants, policy makers and students. Past participants have credited the Mayfield Project with their expansive growth in professional development and have gone on to develop successful careers designing, managing and working in learning environments. The aim of the Project is for participants to expand their knowledge, meet new like-minded people across Australia and New Zealand, work together towards an authentic shared goal and have the opportunity to share their new-found knowledge.

Due to current restrictions, the 2022 Mayfield Project will be held online, through interactive workshops with facilitators from LEA and NoTosh. We anticipate four workshops, approximately 2.5 hours in duration, to be held on selected weekends from February through to May 2022. Participants will continue to drive the Project through subsequent self-directed group collaboration, in preparation for a Conference presentation and written publication.

Participants will present the group's findings at the LEA Regional Conference, Adelaide June 2022. This in-person presentation will be accompanied by a written publication, which will be available for purchase on the Mayfield Project website. There will be an opportunity for participants to share their learnings and experience with their local LEA Chapter level in the latter half of 2022.

Learning Environments Australasia will pay for flights and accommodation costs to attend the LEA Regional Conference. Participants will be required to pay the conference registration, meals, local travel and incidental costs during their stay. Participants will also receive a complimentary 12 month membership to their local Learning Environments Australasia Chapter.

Expressions of interest should be in written form; please include a one-page CV, with a cover letter outlining your reasons for wanting to be part of the Project addressing the following criteria (max 250 words per criteria):

• Particular interest in learning and learning environments
• Evidence of a commitment to learning and enrichment of your personal and professional practice
• Outline how your personal and professional experience will benefit the Project
