Workshop and Tour #3- Repurposing Heritage Buildings: Ambrose Treacy College

The Edmund Rice Building is a landmark of Ambrose Treacy College. Constructed in 1938, its significant heritage elements have shaped its use as an integral part of the College’s middle school. Principal Michael Senior and Fulton Trotter’s Hayley Crofts will share how this process was undertaken and balanced with the College’s objective to provide modern and vibrant facilities.

Workshop and Tour #4 - Reflecting History, Culture and Aspirations through a Master Plan: Mt Alvernia College

Often in master planning, issues of culture and identity can define a sense of place and reflect the history, culture and aspirations of an institution. Taking inspiration from the life of St Francis, Mt Alvernia College was conceived as a school based around three gardens. Principal Dr Kerrie Tuite and m3architecture’s Michael Banney will guide you through a master plan, which has produced memorable spaces that reflect and shape collective socialisation

The 5th Regional Day Out happens in Brisbane on Friday November 10. It has a host of workshops and site tours to help you plan, prepare, design and rethink new and existing learning spaces.
