Submissions for the 2018 Regional Awards now open

Learning Environments Australasia's 11th Regional Educational and Facilities Awards is now open for registrations and submissions. Go to https://learningenvironments.awardsplatform.com/. Entrants can start uploading their submission immediately once they have registered. There is only a 5 week window for this entire process.
The Regional Awards recognise outstanding learning spaces where innovative architectural ideas successfully support an educational philosophy. Over the past decade, the Awards program has played an integral part in raising the awareness of architects and school communities about the interplay between teaching, learning methodology and space. The 2018 Awards will be presented at a ceremony on Tuesday 29 May at the 3 Rs Conference Dinner, Hilton Hotel Sydney (7pm – 11.30pm) as part of our annual regional conference.
There are 7 categories in the 2018 Awards:
Category 1: New Construction / Entire New Educational Facility. This category applies to construction of an entire new school or educational institution. Must have been occupied at least 6 months prior to lodging the awards application and construction completed within the last 3 years.
Category 2: New Construction / New Individual Facility Over $8m. This category applies to a new building in an existing school or campus. Must have been occupied at least 6 months prior to lodging the awards application and construction completed within the last 3 years.
Category 3: New Construction / New Individual Facility Under $8m. This category applies to a new building in an existing school or campus. Must have been occupied at least 6 months prior to lodging the awards application and construction completed within the last 3 years.
Category 4: Renovation / Modernisation Over $2m. Must have been occupied at least 6 months prior to lodging the awards application, and construction completed within the last 3 years.
Category 5: Renovation / Modernisation Under $2m. Must have been occupied at least 6 months prior to lodging the awards application and construction completed within the last 3 years.
Category 6: An Innovative Education Initiative. Education Initiative must have been delivered to students for at least 6 months prior to lodging the awards application. Designed to showcase significant contributions to learning environments by schools, educators, students, designers, community organisations etc.
Category 7: Landscaping/Outdoor Learning Area. Designed to showcase outdoor learning environments targeted to improving educational outcomes. Must have been occupied at least 6 months prior to lodging the awards application and construction completed within the last 3 years.
Timeline:
Registration & Submission Portal Opens 15 February 2018 9am
Submission Portal Closes 22 March 2018 (midnight) - 5 weeks only

Payment will be requested only once the entries are submitted. The cost will be AU$400 + GST per project. Payment not received by 30 March (midnight) will not progress to Judging. 2017 Winners to apply discount code.
