Who will be the winners of the Victorian Chapter’s 12th annual Educational Facility Planning Awards on Thursday October 27?
This free event at Melbourne Museum’s enchanting Treetops venue will recognise and celebrate educational facilities that demonstrate effectiveness in planning, design and construction within Victoria and Tasmania.
Architectural design can successfully support engaging and effective educational practices and activities. The Awards program aims to raise the standard of educational planning and design, with a focus on creating great places for students to learn.
Awards will be presented for exemplary learning environments in the following seven categories:
1. New Entire Educational Facility
2. New Individual Facility
3. Renovation / Modernisation - Over $2m
4. Renovation / Modernisation - Under $2m
5. Education Initiative or a Design for an Innovative Program
6. Landscaping/Outdoor Learning Area
7. Living Experience
The winning projects will demonstrate comprehensive and effective planning, design and construction.
It all kicks off with drinks and canapes from 5:30pm, and presentations commencing at 6pm.
Learning Environments Australasia members, friends and the general public are all welcome. The event is free. However, to comply with Melbourne Museum requirements and to finalise catering, you must register your attendance here.
The Awards event will be preceded by the Victoria Chapter Annual Reporting Meeting. This is open only to members from 4:30-5:15 pm on Thursday October 27th.
